Hello Friend Podcast

Hello Friend is a weekly audio podcast hosted by me, Lucrecer Braxton and an amazing array of guests. Each episode, you get to listen to our spirited conversations about what they are reading, pop culture and why they are simply awesome. This isn’t your typical interview show. Instead, these candid conversations will give you and me a glimpse into how they live their most awesome life. It is my hope you will glean a little something from their story to help you embrace your awesome.

I could not think of a more fitting person to have on my 20th episode of the podcast. John Michael Morgan is an author, speaker, coach and all around awesome person. He leads the coaching group I speak highly of, Achievers Alliance and inspires us weekly to seek results, not approval. I look forward to the coaching calls and I am honored to call members of the group friends. I first heard John speak at the final Blissdom in Nashville and I instantly knew he was a kindred spirit. He has a great sense of humor, tells it like it is and gives, gives, gives on a daily basis. All of this I am writing to stroke his ego, but also because it is true!

In this episode of the show, John drops gems left and right. He shares why he goes by three names, how he started writing even though he failed English three times. He also shares many challenges he deals with including self-doubt and negative thinking but how he overcomes these challenges every day.

It is my hope you not only glean something from this episode, I hope you implement it. Enjoy!

Jen Day is a powerhouse of awesome and one of my favorite female podcasting host. She and I met over Twitter when our friend Andi introduced us because we both were hosting podcasts. Jen invited me on the Guilty Film Podcast and I fell in love with the show concept and the way they entertain the masses with bad movie analysis.

In this episode, we talk about how Guilty Film Podcast was started and when Jen joined the crew. We also chat about how they built a successful show with loyal fans and earned a Podcasting Awards nomination. Jen also shares how she has used Periscope to build her personal brand and how podcasters can use it to share more of their personality with their listeners.

If you love awesome films and even the cheesy ones, you have to check out Guilty Film. I promise, you are going to love the hilarity of the show.

Earlier this month, I spoke about podcasting at BlogHer Food in Chicago. The experience was awesome and I truly enjoyed not only speaking in front of a passionate group of foodies and food bloggers. They truly inspired me.

In this episode, I share a few insights instead of your typical recap of the conference. I also share five tips (and a bonus) for newbie conference attendees and even seasoned conference goers.

I just attended BlogHer Food this weekend and I am feeling the effects of traveling and consuming mass amounts of awesome deliciousness. This episode is a super quick touch base with you. I will be back in full force next week with either a recap of BlogHer Food and my takeaways or an awesome guest. Either way, it will be worth the wait!

Aubrey McGowan is a writer, speaker and consultant. He helping people and organizations cultivate the trust they need to do the work they love. On his Twitter profile, it says "Want to be more like Jesus and MacGyver." I love that! Aubrey and I are in the same coaching group, Achiever's Alliance. After reading his book and talking to him for the podcast, I had to let the rest of the group know how awesome his is. If you are in a coaching group, mastermind or whatever, get to know the people in the group. It can change your life.

In this episode of the podcast, Aubrey and I talk about his book, Mastering the Art of Trust. The book offers a strategy for maximizing your influence and cultivating trust in any context so that you can unleash the power of your greatest contribution on the world around you - the contribution we, your fellow citizens of the world, are desperate for you to make.

Enjoy the episode and get the book. I know you will love it.
